This position is responsible for providing administrative assistance to a County Commissioner. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.
- Composes routine and non-routine correspondence and documents.
- Coordinates and completes administrative projects which may be of a confidential nature.
- Conducts research, data collection, and some analysis of information for use in reports, presentations, and meetings.
- Provides information on County policies and procedures.
- May assist in budget preparation.
- May transcribe and/or take dictation.
- May supervise clerical and/or secretarial staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
High school diploma or equivalent.
Five (5) years of progressively responsible secretarial or administrative assistant experience.
An equivalent combination of education or experience may be substituted.
Ability to type at a rate of 40 correct words per minute. |

Ability to take and transcribe dictation or operate dictation equipment. |
