| General Functions |
| |
Manage the operations and programs of the Citizens Commission for Children, direct community efforts for youth and develop and implement services for children and youth. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Coordinate program planning with State and local government agencies, non-profit and philanthropic organizations.
- Develop and disseminate requests for proposals for funding to eligible community and youth service organizations.
- Plan and organize programs of the commission for children and youth.
- Assess community-wide needs and develop data bank of services.
- Monitor existing programs and conduct studies to determine effectiveness of service provided.
- Conduct public relations and public awareness programs to communicate programs available for children and youth.
- Develop and write regular and special reports of activities, functions, services and clients assisted through the Commission's efforts.
- Develop and monitor annual budget of the commission for children.
- Responsible for various personnel matters including hiring, discipline, training and development, performance appraisals and related activities.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Education or a health-related field and four years of responsible experience in a human services organization serving children and youth, including two years of supervisory or managerial experience. |
