INVENTORY CONTROL COORDINATOR

General Functions
  

Performs responsible supervisory work directing inventory control personnel. Plans, conducts, and reviews inventory control processes.

Work is performed with considerable independence under the supervision of Program Manager. Performance is reviewed through observations, reports and results achieved.

 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  

Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.

  • Coordinates, supervises and conducts department wide inventories.
  • Researches, develops, implements, and evaluates methods and procedures for inventory control.
  • Provides technical assistance and administrative advice.
  • Supervises the maintenance of records, administers record retention and disposal schedule, in accordance with Florida State Public Records Statute.
  • Implements techniques and procedures to assure improved performance in record keeping.
  • Assists with and monitors fixed assets inventory.
  • Coordinates with the Orange County Comptroller’s Office to tag new equipment, disposition of equipment and location changes.
  • Coordinates the transfer of unserviceable equipment to the Orange County warehouse.
  • Supervises and assists with the filing and completion of report requests.
  • Supervises, plans, directs, and trains staff.
  • Reviews and evaluates performance.
  • Based on area of assignment may monitor section budget and usage.
  • May represent the Department in court concerning subpoenas and files, as it relates to records management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
  

Bachelor degree from an accredited institution in Industrial Management, Business or Public Administration or a closely related field.

One (1) year of inventory control experience.

In lieu of the degree requirements additional relevant experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
