SENIOR UTILITIES MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

General Functions
  

This key position coordinates maintenance activities by multiple crews, schedules work activities to maintain facilities in an efficient operating condition, reviews work performed by a variety of trades, coordinates activities of vendors and subcontractors, and responds to emergency situations to correct operating problems in a timely manner.  Prepares budget recommendations, is responsible for meeting budget objectives and approves minor budget expenditures. Tasks performed involves highly complex technical work. 

Work is performed with considerable independence and the exercise of independent judgment under the general supervision of the department manager or other designated supervisor.

 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  

Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.

  • Knowledge of computer based maintenance programs (Shopfax/Maximo)
  • Overseeing maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and automotive.
  • Participating in work activities and providing training to other staff as necessary.
  • Ordering parts and supplies and keeping records.
  • Writing detailed job procedures.
  • Preparing evaluations and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
  

High School diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of experience to be specified by the department. An equivalent combination of education or experience may be substituted.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.

Based on the area of assignment, may be required to possess and maintain the appropriate certification or license.
